People
Creative Set Construction is comprised of a group of skilled and imaginative Carpenters, Metal Workers, Poly Carvers, Designers, and Scenic Painters who work together harmoniously.

Services
Our proficient craftsmen specialize in traditional timber set construction which they skilfully craft to create exquisite shapes and surfaces for the stage.
Carpenters in film production have a diverse range of tasks and are essential for the overall appearance and efficiency of the film. They follow directions from the charge hand carpenter to create a wide array of structures, including props such as window frames and staircases, as well as intricate thing like replicas of spacecraft or medieval ships.
Head scenic artist leads and oversees the painting of stage, film or television scenery.
The duties of the charge artist involve techniques for replicating colour and texture, as well as preparing and ageing various surfaces.
The charge artist interprets the scenic designer’s technical drawings and paint elevations, and with a crew of journeymen scenic artists, brings them to life on the actual scenery.
The charge artist is also responsible for the budgeting of the finished sets along with the production designer and the art director.
Our team of sculptors is skilled in creating 3D forms using various materials such as polystyrene, Polyurethane Resin/Foam Spraying, fiberglass, and clay. Whether it’s a large figurative sculpture or multiple moulded shapes, they meticulously consider every detail to achieve a captivating final product.
CNC cutting is a valuable asset for set construction. By utilizing this technology, we are able to efficiently produce technical components and complete tasks that would otherwise be time-consuming.
Our skilled design team is capable of creating drafts in both 2D and 3D, enabling us to carefully analyze and improve the efficiency of our projects.
Our team excels in both set fabrication, engineering, and machining, enabling us to produce a wide range of products. From durable structures to intricate designs, we meticulously craft each project, ensuring that every detail of the brief is met.
The end result is a collection of inspired builds that exceed expectations.
Sustainable Set Building

In the Film and TV industry, we are fully aware of the significant weight of materials involved in our work and the temporary nature of sets, which are dismantled after a few weeks or months.
We are dedicated to recycling and repurposing all the materials we use, thanks to the collaborative efforts of our construction team and trusted professional companies like Bateman Skip, as well as partnerships with charities such as Bristol Wood Recycling Project. Together, we share the same vision of a more sustainable production and future.
Our construction team has made remarkable progress in changing their mindset, approach, and execution of set building and finishing processes. We ensure that all materials are sourced sustainably, and whenever possible, we prioritize UK-grown and manufactured products to minimize transportation distances.
Over the past four years, we have had the privilege of collaborating with both Bafta Award and Albert Sustainable Production Certification.
